DARIEN, Conn. - You can find deals on meals at all of your favorite restaurants this week as the chamber of commerce hosts its annual Darien Restaurant Week.
Through Friday, you can get lunch at several spots for $10.13 or $15.13, and dinner for $20.13 or $30.13.
Bodega Taco Bar will be offering a lunch of two tacos, an order of rice and half order of grilled corn. Chuck's Steakhouse offers dinner options of a 12-ounce New York steak, salmon or herb-roasted chicken, with salad bar, choice of potato and dessert. Jimmy's Southside Tavern will have a half-rack of baby back ribs or a cup of potato leek and apple smoked bacon soup with beet salad topped with grilled chicken.
"The Darien chamber hopes that Darien Restaurant Week is becoming an anticipated winter event. We plan it during a slow time of the year and hope that the publicity reminds people of the many culinary options dished up in Darien. Having more “feet on the street” during restaurant week helps the visibility of other businesses in town also," said Carol Wilder-Tamme, president of the chamber. "We want Darien to be a vibrant place to live and do businesses and hope that restaurant week, in at least a small part, helps accomplish that. Discover all the flavors of Darien and enjoy some extra dining out this week with friends and family."
Other restaurants participating in Restaurant Week include Darien Social, the Melting Pot, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Cesco's Trattoria, Estia's American, Scena Wine Bar and Restaurant, Sails American Grill, Coromandel, Rory's Restaurant and the Goose.
