CryoPoint focuses on cryotherapy, a noninvasive procedure that treats pain, inflammation and sore muscles by exposing the body to temperatures as low as negative-250 F degrees.

Located inside Performance Physical Therapy at 800 Main St. in Darien, above Bar Method, CryoPoint offers whole body cryotherapy, cryo-facials and local cryotherapy for targeted joint areas. The Darien Chamber of Commerce and local officials recently celebrated CryoPoint's opening with a ribbon-cutting.

Touted by athletes as the answer to pain, inflammation, and sore muscles, cryotherapy is now gaining traction amongst clients seeking relief of chronic pain, recovering from surgery and the more widespread appeal of increased metabolism, spikes in energy and improved sleep.

"We chose to partner with Performance because we want to ensure clients the safest, most effective environment for their treatment," said Dwayne Hagenow, CryoPoint's site manager. "At -250 F degrees you need to trust who is operating the machine."
