Darien's David Kniffin Joins Lightpath As Senior VP

DARIEN, Conn. — Lightpath, a provider of Ethernet-based telecommunication for New York metro area businesses, announced that Darien resident David Kniffin has joined the company as senior vice president and chief administration officer.

In this role, he leads all company finance and administrative functions.

“In his previous role with Cablevision, David supported key financial activities for Lightpath, giving him a comprehensive understanding of our business. We anticipate a seamless transition to his new role and expect him to have an immediate impact on the organization,” said Lightpath president Dave Pistacchio in a statement.

Kniffin has more than 20 years of experience in financial and operational roles for media and telecommunication companies, including work for Newsday and the Tribune Company.

He most recently served as senior vice president of financial planning for Cablevision, supporting financial reporting, budget and forecasting processes for Lightpath and other Cablevision business units.

“I'm encouraged by the company’s opportunity for growth, and excited to work as part of Lightpath's management team on expanding our suite of innovative services to address the changing market demands of our business customers,” said Kniffin.
