State Senate Minority Leader Len Fasano of North Haven recommended Lavieri, president of the Stamford-based ISG Americas, Australia and New Zealand, for the post.

Lavieri, whose areas of expertise include business transformation and growth strategies, has 25 years of experience in the global services industry.

His lengthy business career has included work with global 1,000 clients in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, retail, life sciences, healthcare, energy and consumer products.

CTNext, which strives to equip startups and entrepreneurs with the resources, guidance and networks they need to accelerate growth and success, is comprised of a public and private network of mentors, universities, suppliers and entrepreneurs.

The organization played a key role in Public Act 16-3, a statewide Innovation Place initiative which brings together educational institutions and business partners to form hubs of entrepreneurship.

“The CTNext board is committed to finding and nurturing new business ideas and opportunities in an attempt to grow our economic base,” said Lavieri. “I see this as a true step in the right direction in terms of helping our state turn its economy around and address any challenges or barriers to building a successful business. I am pleased and honored to be a part of this effort, and will work hard to help ignite economic growth in our state.”

Lavieri is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
