New York Giant To Appear At Dick's Grand Opening Celebration In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — The wait is over: Dick’s Sporting Goods opens its Norwalk location today with a three-day celebration that includes giveaways and a visit from New York Giants running back Paul Perkins.

The store, located at 444 Connecticut Ave. in the former Sports Authority, officially opens at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 17.

Guests in line early will get a chance to open the Dick’s Sporting Goods Gift Locker at 7:45 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at 8:45 a.m. Sunday.

The first 100 people in line Friday will receive a free Adidas Go-To Performance T-shirt. The first 100 on Saturday and Sunday get a free mystery gift card ranging in value from $10 to one lucky card for $500.

Perkins is scheduled to appear from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday for a fan meet and greet with autographs. A wristband is required for that event.

The Norwalk store is the 12th Dick's location in Connecticut, with the next closest locations in Danbury and Milford.

The nationwide retailer offers a range of sports equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories.
