If all goes well, the popular burger and shake restaurant would be built at the former location of Chuck’s Steak House on Post Road. Baywater Properties, the current owner of that site and founder David Genovese said his daughter Lily actually came up with the idea of partnering with Shake Shack, said the Darien Times.

Started in New York City, Shake Shack has slowly been expanding across the nation. The Darien location would the company's first site located on a major thoroughfare, the Darien Times said. Baywater and Shake Shack employees presented site plans to the Planning & Zoning Commission earlier this month. The next public hearing for the site is scheduled for March 22, added the Darien Times.
