The popular sales event features Darien merchants exhibiting along the Post Road and at the Goodwives and Noroton Heights Shopping Centers. Various bargains, with discounts of up to 70 percent, will be offered.
On Thursday, shoppers can stop by the chamber tent to get their special insert with a guide to the events over the three days. There will be a special guessing contest for children and adults to win a prize. A fun bouncy house can be found next to William Pitt Sotheby’s for children.
On Friday, shoppers can take part with face painter Ela at the Darien Toy Box from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and face painters from the Depot at First County Bank from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also on Tokeneke Road – free iced coffee from Deadly Grounds Coffee at The Dock Shop, Mr. Bungles with his balloon creations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cookie decorating at SoNo Baking. Plus, The Sound Tigers Mascot-Storm and an inflatable bouncy house will be in the downtown area. Other Friday attractions include Amazing Andy on stilts with his juggling and a band will be playing at lunch time at Gofer Park.
On Saturday, a pedal car racetrack will be held behind First County Bank from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Day Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow for a special car show for enthusiasts of cars of all kinds. Saturday also includes free face painting by Depot teens at First County Bank, free iced coffee with Deadly Grounds Coffee at The Dock Shop, a cookie decorating event at SoNo Baking Company and more balloon creations by Amazing Andy. Face painting with Ela will be held inside the Darien Toy Box from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Darien Fire House will bring a firetruck and a Darien police officer will be onsite with his special Harley Davidson Motorcycle. There will also be live music at Grove Street Plaza Saturday afternoon.
