Capturing the multi-decade mass movement of African Americans from the rural South to the urban North, artist Jacob Lawrence masterfully completed a series of 60 small paintings. Lawrence's work is considered a landmark in modern art. For the first time in over 20 years, all 60 panels will be reunited in this new exhibit.

Presenter Larissa Bailiff, who has a doctorate form the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, is a specialist in late 19th-century and early 20th-century French art and culture.

Formerly an associate educator at MoMA, she continues to give tours and teach online and in-person classes for the museum. She also serves as the coordinator for the Center for Curatorial Leadership’s new Mellon-funded Seminar in Curatorial Practice.

The Darien Library is located at 1441 Post Road, Darien.
