DARIEN, Conn. -- Cosmopolitan Magazine Editor-at-Large John Searles will be the featured speaker in Darien Thursday.
The author of "Help for the Haunted" will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Darien Library. Searles previously wrote "Boy Still Missing" and "Strange but True." He comes to the Darien Library with his new "unforgettable story of a most unusual family, their deep secrets, their harrowing tragedy, and ultimately, a daughter’s discovery of a dark and unexpected mystery," according to the notice from the library.
Searles has appeared as a book critic on NBC’s Today Show and CBS’s The Early Show. His essays have been published in The New York Times, Washington Post, Daily Beast and other national publications. He lives in New York City, according to his biography.
Books will be available for purchase at the event and refreshments will be served, according to the release.
