Author With Local Roots Will Address Friends Of The Darien Library

DARIEN, Conn. — Martha Hall Kelly, the New York Times bestselling author of "Lilac Girls" and a former Darien resident, will be the featured speaker at the Friends of the Darien Library's Annual Meeting on Saturday in the Louise Parker Berry Community Room.

Before Kelly's presentation, guests can learn about the year's developments from Townsend C. Smith, president of the board of the Friends of the Darien Library. Election of officers and new trustee nominations for the 2016-17 year will be held.

A reception and book signing with will follow Kelly's presentation. Books will be available for purchase.
