Award-Winning Artist Exhibits Paintings At Darien's Ucbc Bakery

NORWALK, Conn. -- Award-winning artist Stan Pastore will exhibit a collection of watercolor paintings at UCBC Bakery and Café in Darien from April 12 through June 12, with an opening reception on April 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Wine, beer and light refreshments will be served at the reception at 980 Post Road.

Pastore, who has been honored with numerous awards for his work, won Best in Show in 2014 at the Darien Art Center’s Art Show and Sale with his watercolor painting, "Old Yella." He also won Best in Show in 2006.

He garnered first place awards at the Rowayton Art Center (RAC) in 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015, and additionally has received awards at the Spectrum Show at the Carriage Barn in New Canaan and at the Walter Brooks Memorial Show at the RAC.

Pastore has exhibited his artwork at the Greenwich Art Society, the Silvermine Guild, the Darien Library and the Agin Art Gallery on Cape Cod. His work has been featured in private shows at the Whittingham Pavilion at Norwalk Hospital and at Sterling Glen and Atria in Darien. Pastore resides in Norwalk and accepts commissions for residential and marine portraits.
