The town of Darien boasts a multitude of green organizations that all celebrate the process of rethinking, refusing, reducing, reusing and recycling in daily lives. Community members will be challenged to race around the library, meeting with the different organizations to learn about all the green initiatives in Darien.

The more groups an attendee meets with, the better the chance there is to win a new, deluxe composter. In addition to the race for the composter, attendees will learn how geothermal heating units work, what the small dots on the library windows do and what a bioswale is on a behind-the-scenes Green Tour of the LEED Gold Certified features of Darien Library.

All Things Green will be packed with activities for the whole family, such as creating garbage arts and crafts, planting sunflowers, playing basketball and learning what to single-stream recycle.

The Darien Library is at 1441 Post Road, Darien.
