Port Chester High Senior Gives Thanks

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – With prom and graduation coming back to back, high school senior Antonio Garcia has a lot on his mind this week. However, the 17-year-old made sure to find the time to thank the people at school who helped him get to where he is."I found people here that care about you and want the best for you," said Garcia. "They changed my life completely."Garcia will attend Dominican College in the fall on a baseball scholarship and plans to study business resources. However, he is also considering student counseling."I want to be able to give back what people gave me," he said. "What the counselors gave me."Garcia did not always know where he'd end up, but with the help of his counselors, teachers and coaches, he found his direction and will be going to college.This last week as a high school student, filled with tuxedos and caps and gowns, has started to become reality in Garcia’s mind."Time flew by quick," he said.
