Darien Arts Center Hosts 40th Anniversary Open House

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center will host an Open House on Sept. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

The Open House will offer mini-classes for dance, visual arts and music and all ages are welcome to participate for free. DAC faculty and board members will be on site to meet and greet participants,  and a 40th anniversary birthday cake will be served.

Information will be provided, including show dates and participation and volunteer opportunities, for those interested in theircommunity theatre group, DAC Stage, the Annual Darien Art Show and Sale, and other programs.

Free mini-classes include preschool and hip hop dance, martial arts, piano, a singing class for tweens, and a printmaking project for all ages. Cake will be served during the birthday celebration with music performed by music department faculty. 

Teachers will be available to meet and greet visitors throughout the afternoon. Information booths will be set up in the lobby for those interested in dance, visual arts, music and theatre, and all other programs available at the Arts Center including martial arts, exercise classes and Danceabilities and Artabilities for those with disabilities.

Founded in 1975, the Darien Arts Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing visual and performing arts programs and events for the community.
