Darien Arts Center To Stage Play On Shakespeare's Political Plot

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center will stage a production of "Shakespeare and the Heart’s Desire", a play written by Mary Jane Schaefer.

The one-night staged reading takes place on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. and tells a story of political intrigue and a true event in William Shakespeare’s life, as well as his involvement in a plot to overthrow the throne.

Reservations are not necessary for the performance, which has a suggested donation of $10. The DAC is located at 2 Renshaw Road, behind the Darien Town Hall. For more information, call 203-655-8683.
