Darien To Celebrate Memorial Day With Annual Parade

DARIEN, CONN. -- The Town of Darien’s Monuments & Ceremonies Commission is inviting residents to attend this year’s Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. Monday.

The parade will start at Goodwives Shopping Center and proceed down the Post Road to Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery. The ceremony following the parade is at Spring Grove State Veterans Cemetery at about 11:30 a.m.

This year’s grand marshal is Gene Coyle and the speaker is Christopher Pintauro. The event is a time to show thanks for the contributions and sacrifices servicemen and women have made so the country can remain free.
