Participants will learn how an estate plan puts you in control and why you should create your own plan or help your parents leave behind a lasting, meaningful legacy. The presentation is designed to help participants have important conversations with their parents, spouse and children.

The workshop will dispel some of the myths about Medicaid planning, caregiver issues, conservatorships and unexpected transitions, such as losing a spouse or moving to adaptable housing. The presenters also will answer specific questions related to managing care of loved ones.

Chartered retirement planning counselor and CPA Karen Goersch of Ameriprise Financial and Michelle Beltrano, who is an estate planning and elder law attorney from Beltrano Law, will lead the session.

The session costs $20 or $10 for association members.

Registration is required, and you must register by Tuesday, Feb. 23. Register here or by contacting the association at info@dariendca.org or 203-655-9050.
