Equinox Darien will present "Get an Edge: College Recruiting Tips for Athletes" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. Residents are invited to join Equinox Darien and Competitive Edge, the matchmakers between student-athletes and schools, to break down the college recruiting process. Coaches and recruiters wil discuss how athletes can leverage their competitive edge with their academic achievements to have more options in the college recruiting process, Equinox representatives said.

The panel will help answer athletes' lingering questions about college athletics and the recruitment process from “When should I start the process?” to “How can I best market myself to the institutions to increase my chances of getting recruited?”

Panelists include Lee Jones; Moderator, Kevin Rusch; Owner of Competitive Edge, Eric Pellini; Assistant Track Coach at New Canaan High School, Rob Trifone; Head Football Coach at Darien High School, Marj Trifone; Head Girls Swimming Coach at Darien High School and Courtney Bennett; former Darien High School lacrosse player.
