Darien Library To Screen James Brown Biopic 'Get On Up'

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library will hold a special screening of "Get On Up" on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m..

Starring Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, and Tika Sumpter, "Get On Up" is rated PG-13 and will be presented with captions for the hearing impaired.

Boseman stars as singer James Brown in this biopic from Universal Studios and director Tate Taylor. From a childhood spent in poverty to his emergence as the Godfather of Soul, Brown's life story is one of talent, determination, and perseverance.
