DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library is showing the documentary "Haze."
This film will be shown from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, March 7 in the library's community room.
The documentary, film screening and discussion is about underage binge drinking in honor of Alcohol and Asset Awareness Month.
The documentary tells the story of Greenwich native Lynn Gordon Bailey Jr. ("Gordie") who dies from binge drinking in his freshman year of college.
The film also weaves together a collection of interviews by many national experts on the subject of alcohol abuse.
The documentary is being presented by the Youth Asset Team of Darien High School students. The Community Fund of Darien, YWCA Parent Awareness, Thriving Youth and Darien Library are co-sponsoring the documentary.
The program is appropriate for parents and high school-aged students.
Following the screening, there will be a short question-and-answer session featuring a panel of local experts and high school graduates.
