DARIEN, Conn. - The annual Darien VFW Chicken Fry scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Friday has been canceled due to the excessive heat.
The event was to take place at 205 Noroton Ave. in Darien, and food was to be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Live music by Pimpinella was scheduled to follow dinner until 11 p.m.
Whether there will be a make up date has not been announced. The VFW apologizes for any inconvenience.
