Participants will enjoy a breakfast, 18-hole golf tournament and open bar luncheon, according to a press release.

The registration fee per golfer is $150.

Check-in and breakfast will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the tournament from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Golfers will compete in groups of four, and the tournament will take place in a shotgun format, allowing all golfers to begin at the same time but on different holes.

Lunch will be from 1-4 p.m. and is available to non-golfers at a price of $75.

This annual event was founded by Pio Bruzzese, a Stamford father whose son, Vincent, was diagnosed with autism. For the past eight years, Vincent has participated in many special needs programs at the Darien Y, where he has had the opportunity to interact with children of different abilities, according to a press release.

Vincent’s mother has credited the YMCA's knowledgeable staff with Vincent’s learning to be increasingly more independent while learning to play and socialize in a friendly, safe environment, according to a press release.

“The Darien YMCA is like a dream come true for Vincent and our family and we will always be more grateful than we could ever say,” she said in a press release.

For more information about the event or to register, please contact Bruzzese at (646)-660-5082 or pbruzzese@nemotile.com.
