Darien YMCA Presents Stamford Hospital Lecture Series

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien YMCA will host two health lectures by specialists from Stamford Hospital.

"The Importance of Vaccines" will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 26, and "Spine, Knees, And Other Achy Joints This Winter" will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Dr. Michael Parry, Director of Infectious Diseases, will be presenting the lecture, "The Importance of Vaccines." Parry will provide answers and explain the “why” behind various vaccines and the answer to the age-old question of whether or not the flu shot really works.

The "Spine, Knees, And Other Achy Joints" lecture will be led by Dr. Joseph Feuerstein, Dr. Rudolph Taddonio and Dr. Peter Hughes. They will provide tips on how to keep the aches and pains away during these cold weather months.

Both events will be held in the Community Room at the Darien Y from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. The lectures are free and open to the community. RSVP is required. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Jess Van Sciver at jvansciver@darien-ymca.org.
