The Fiesta on the Sound gala is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton. The lead sponsors in the fundraiser are Halstead Property and Dr. John Presti, DDS. Other key sponsors include Allstate Insurance; Baywater Properties; Carlson & Carlson Inc.; Diageo; Fiduciary Trust Co. International; First County Bank; Kensett; Nielsen’s; Nola Physical Therapy P.C.; Paws & Reflect Professional Pet Styling; and The Home Team – Sheree Frank & Doug Milne. The media sponsor is Serendipity Magazine.

“Enthusiasm for our annual spring ball has been especially high, as it sold out two weeks before the RSVP deadline,” said Renee Schwandt, co-president of Opus for Person-to-Person, in the release. “We cannot thank our sponsors and the community enough for making this event possible, since it allows us to help even more neighbors in need.”

Proceeds from Fiesta on the Sound will go to Person-to-Person’s Emergency Assistance Program, "which is the core of their services," according to the release.

"This program provides gently-used clothing, groceries for nutritious meals and financial assistance for rent, security deposits and utility bills. In addition to this central program, Person-to-Person provides scholarships, funds for camp programs and layettes for babies," said the press release.

The Cinco de Mayo-themed Fiesta on the Sound party includes a raffle with prizes including a trip to Riviera Maya. The event includes a golf contest down at the beach and a performance by the Jay Stollman Band.

"The auction committee has outdone themselves with fantastic live auction items. Besides the week-long stay at an exclusive private island in the Bahamas, guests will have a chance to bid on the crowd favorite 'Preppy Pig Block Party,' a private sunset sail in Rowayton followed by dinner at The Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood, an exclusive NYC escape with accommodations at the Pierre, tickets to the brand new 'Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' and dinner at Jean-Georges, plus many more coveted packages," according to the release.
