The fundraising event for the Darien Arts Center features prizes for adults and children, and accomplished entertainment professionals as judges for the auditions and finals. Contestants can enter the competition alone or as part of a group, to sing, dance, play an instrument or perform any other talent. Acapella groups, garage bands and dance ensembles are welcome. Contestants do not need to be Darien residents to compete. Registration for auditions remains open until May 14 at darienarts.org.
"There is an amazing amount of artistic talent in Darien and all the surrounding towns," said Pam Heckel, one of the show's producers. "Darien's Got Talent offers performing artists of all kinds the opportunity to shine on stage in front of judges that are entertainment industry professionals, and an enthusiastic audience of family, friends and neighbors."
