Discover Eastern European Ancestors At Darien Library

DARIEN, Conn. -- Professor Jonathan Shea and Matthew Bielawa, experts on Eastern European genealogy, will host a lecture at the Danbury Library on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m.

In this program, Shea and Bielawa will show attendees how to research ancestors in Poland, Ukraine and the neighboring countries of Eastern Europe.

Shea is a professor of foreign languages in the Connecticut Higher Education System with over 20 years of experience in the field of genealogical research.

Bielawa is the associate registrar at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. His research specialization is in Eastern Galicia and Western Ukraine.

The Darien Library is located at 1441 Post Road.
