Children's Events Set For April At Tuckahoe Library

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- The Tuckahoe Public Library will be offering several events in April, including an Arbor Day celebration and storytime for preschoolers and babies.

Upcoming events include:

Sing along with Miss Elaine as she and her guitar share some of their favorite songs on Monday, April 13, at 11:30 a.m. The sing-along is open to children from birth to age 6.

Storytime with local children's author Joanne Roos will take place on Friday, April 17, at 4 p.m. Roos will be reading her first book, "Who Visits Me From A to Z?" Books will be available for sale and the event is open to children ages 2 to 6.

Celebrate National Library Week by making elephant and piggy puppets on Friday, April 17, at 4 p.m. The craft activity is open to children ages 3 to 7.

An Arbor Day celebration will take place on Saturday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m., when Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" will be read and a special guest will be present. The celebration is open to children ages 3 to 7.

Legos in the library, an opportunity for kids to create a masterpiece to display, will be on Tuesday, April 21, at 4 p.m. The event is open to children ages 5 to 10. 

Babytime storyime, stories and songs for babies, will be with Miss Ellen every Thursday, April 2, 8, 16, 23 and 30, at 11 a.m. The event is for children from birth to age 2.

Preschool storytime, stories and songs for preschoolers with Miss Ellen, will be on Fridays, April 10, 17, and 24, at 11 a.m. The event is open to children ages 2 to 6.

Registration is required for all programs.
