Each was charged with racing, reckless driving and failing to stop for a stop sign, police said.

One of the teens was also charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle and not having any insurance.

A witness saw a black Volkswagen GTI and a blue Subaru Forester race through the high school’s main driveway and blow through the stop sign at Catalpa Road, then continue racing toward School Road, police said.

Officers checked the security video and were quickly able to locate the driver of one vehicle, police said. The second driver was pulled over during a traffic stop later that day, police said.

The teens' names were not released because they are underage.
