Woman Strikes Telephone Pole, Killed In Route 35 Crash In Woodbridge: Police

A 67-year-old woman was killed after she suffered a medical emergency and ran into a telephone pole in the Colonie section of Woodbridge, authorities said.

Barbara Czyzewska, of Aberdeen, was southbound on Route 35 (St. George's Avenue) at about 10:40 a.m. Friday, March 22 when she lost control of her Subaru, Woodbridge police said.

She was taken to Rahway Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

There were no passengers in the Subaru.
