Orientation sessions begin at 5:30 p.m. with gymnastics camp, followed by preschool camp at 6 p.m. and ending with school-age camp at 6:30 p.m.
Two more sessions are planned for Feb. 3 and March 8.
Registration for summer camp for children 3-15 starts at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 for returning campers and siblings with Darien Y memberships. Darien Y members who are residents of Darien can register beginning at 10 a.m. Feb 4.
YMCA members who do not live in Darien can register at 10 a.m. Feb. 9. Open registration starts at 10 a.m. Feb. 11.
Darien YMCA offers a variety of camps with several sessions throughout the summer. Four sessions run from June 20 through Aug. 12.
New this year for younger campers is the option of a five-day, full day sessions for the Holly Hoppers program. Holly Hoppers and Summer Fun Club camps are available for children 3 to 5.
Children older than 5 are eligible for the school-age camps based at Hindley Elementary School. Options include full-day or half-day camps with activities such as swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and music and dance. There are also specialty camps, such as the gymnastics camp.
