Signup Begins Monday For Child, Adult Programs At Darien Arts Center

DARIEN, Conn. – We may be in the dog days of summer, but it’s never too soon to look toward autumn opportunities.

The Darien Arts Center at 2 Renshaw Road offering a variety of classes this fall for children and adults. Registration opens on Monday.

Children’s classes include:

  • Kids’s Theatre
  • Beginning Acting, grades K-2
  • Actor’s Toolbox, grades 3-5
  • Dance (Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, or Martial Arts)
  • Music (private lessons available)
  • Vocal Divas, ages 7-12
  • Elementary Art Studio, ages 7-12
  • Drawing and Painting, ages 10-15
  • Click! Digital Photograph, ages 9-12
  • Make-a-Monster Workshop, ages 8-12
Adult classes include:
  • Water Color Painting
  • Critique Workshop for the Advanced Artist
The Darien Arts Center (DAC) has also scheduled a Beatles Night for 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Organizers said the event is family-friendly and will celebrate the Beatles with an assortment of live performances of the band’s most popular songs.

DAC, a nonprofit founded in 1975, is dedicated to providing visual and performing arts programs and events for the community.
