DARIEN, Conn. -- The Mather Center in Darien is offering the following upcoming senior programs in May:
- "Pharmacy: Skin Health and Sun Protection," Wednesday, May 11, at 12:30 p.m.: Skin conditions can range from severe to cosmetic, acute to chronic. Dianne the pharmacist from CT Pharmacy will present a comprehensive presentation covering general dermatological care and management as well as treatment options for skin cancer and ways to avoid sun damage while still enjoying the spring weather.
- "Reminisce with Geri Genovese," Thursday, May 12, and May 26 at 12:45 p.m.: Genovese will lead the group in discussions about a myriad of different topics from yesteryear: famous people and places, inventions, customs and traditions, favorite past times and more.
- "Karen Wagner Entertains," on Monday, May, 16 at 12:30 p.m.: Wagner has been the lead singer for many Boston and Connecticut based bands, including Route 66, a 1940s singing group, and currently performs throughout the country with her one woman cabaret act. She sings hits from the 20's-70's including today's music and a little of everything in between. She also sings with numerous bands and recently released her newest album, "Karen Wagner Sings Broadway." Lunch ($4) will be served at noon, and entertainment (free of charge) will begin at 12:30 p.m.
