With the upcoming colorful fall season, photo contestants are reminded to take photos of Darien trees in all seasons and capture the beauty of trees year-round.

Tree Conservancy of Darien is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the tree and forest resources of Darien for the benefit of the community, its health and its quality of life.

Its goals are to educate the community about the value of trees and their care, identify and revitalize significant (heritage) trees in town, maintain a stewardship program for the care and maintenance of existing trees and build partnerships to achieve Tree Conservancy of Darien goals.

Tree Conservancy of Darien will have an opening reception for its annual photo contest, "Celebration of Trees," on Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Darien Nature Center on Brookside Road.

The Darien Nature Center is at 120 Brookside Road.
