The event is open to adults and children ages 10 and older at all fitness levels.
Throughout the challenge, teams of four will compete in seven fitness challenges lasting 15 minutes each. Except for the rock climbing wall and the 200-yard swim, all events will be completed by all four team members. For a full list of events, visit the Darien YMCA's website.
Children older than 10 can compete in the family division of the games but must include at least one adult age 18 or older on the team.
Advance registration is required. Participants can register at the Darien YMCA's front desk or online at www.darien-ymca.org by June 5.
Check-in for the Y Games is at 8 a.m. and the events are from 9 a.m. through noon.
Prizes, such as New York Yankees tickets, personal training and massages, will be awarded to the winning teams.
The Darien YMCA also will have a benefit raffle. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the front desk. Prizes will be displayed in the front lobby. Proceeds benefit the Darien YMCA Financial Assistance Program.
