DARIEN, Conn. -- The Depot - Darien Youth Center will host the discussion "Straight Talk: Talk Early, Talk often" Thursday. It will be the followup discussion to "Drug Talk" conducted March 10.
The discussion will cover the following topics:
- Discuss warning signs of substance abuse.
- Know when you should help and who you should call.
- How and when to start the conversation.
Maggie Young (Liberation Projects), Ingrid Gillespie (Communities 4 Action) and Ellen Brezovsky (Silver Hill Hospital) will be the featured speakers at the discussion.
The Depot is a nonprofit organization that provides high school children with a drug- and alcohol-free environment. It offers a welcoming, relaxed, judgment-free and safe home away from home while providing opportunities for personal growth, leadership development and community outreach and connections.
