DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien Library will take readers and nature lovers on a light walk around the Darien Nature Center while discussing Bill Bryson's, “A Walk in the Woods” on Thursday, June 11, at 1:45 p.m.
The Appalachian Trail stretches from Georgia to Maine, and covers some of the most breathtaking terrain in America–majestic mountains, silent forests and sparkling lakes. Bryson introduces readers to the history and ecology of the trail and to some of the folks – and bears –he meets along the way.
The hike will be led by the Nature Center staff and the discussion led by Darien librarians. Copies of the book are available at the Darien Library.
To register for this event, call 203-669-5254.
The Darien Nature Center is located at 120 Brookside Road, Darien.
