Long Island Sound Watershed Science and Animals: 4:15 p.m. Kids can discover the animals that live in Long Island Sound and get up close and personal with some of them in this presentation by SoundWaters. They will also perform a hands-on experiment of human impact on the watershed. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.
Tuesday, March 5
Darien Bird Presentation: 12:15 p.m. Joe Warren, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Darien, will talk about how you can get birds to thrive in your backyard, including what birds you'll see, where they build their nests and more. Cost is $5 for DCA members, $10 for non-members. Darien Community Association, 274 Middlesex Road.
Wednesday, March 6
Mother-Daughter Eating Disorder Presentation: 7 p.m. Barbara Greenberg, an adolescent consultant for Silver Hill Hospital, will help identify signs of eating disorders and how to effectively deal with them. The Depot, 25 Heights Road.
Thursday, March 7
Author Charles Dubow: 7 p.m. Charles Dubow will be at the library to discuss his first novel, "Indiscretion." This is part of the library's First Look: Darien series that highlights first novels handpicked by the staff. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.
Friday, March 8
Social Success for Children with ADHD: 10 a.m. Jeffrey DeTeso and Maryellen Page will discuss the social competencies of children with attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder and share strategies and interventions to help children succeed socially.
