Social Success for Children with ADHD: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Dr. Jeffrey DeTeso and Dr. Maryellen Page will explore the question of whether ADHD children lack social competencies (knowing what to do), the executive functioning skills to “do” what they “know,” or both. Strategies and interventions for supporting children with ADHD socially will be shared. Free. The Southfield Center for Development, 85 Old Kings Highway N., Darien.

Film: “Girl Rising:” 10 a.m. to noon. Darien-based Unite The World With Africa, and its youth group Global Girls & Guys Unite (MMS & DHS), are hosting a screening of the film “Girl Rising,” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
