What To Do In Darien This Weekend

DARIEN, Conn. - This weekend, the Darien Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Holiday Magic downtown. The annual Winterfair Gift Market will take place, as well as a concert at the library. Check out our Events calendar for more items.

Friday, Nov. 30

Silhouette Artist Deborah O’Connor: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Deborah O’Connor will create old-fashioned silhouette portraits that can be framed and given as gifts. Darien Historical Society, 45 Old Kings Highway North.

Thanks Be To Yoga: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Take a free hot yoga class, followed by wine and healthy snacks. Venture Yoga, 10 Center St.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Winterfair Gift Market: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 34th annual Winterfair Gift Market will feature more than 45 vendors specializing in gifts, clothing and accessories for the whole family. Admission is $5, $4 for seniors and free for children under 12. All proceeds benefit the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk. Darien Community Association, 274 Middlesex Road.

Holiday Magic: 4 p.m. Kids can sit and talk with Santa, who will arrive riding Rudolph. Kids also can ride Rudolph, Lucy and a polar bear, as well as enjoy holiday songs and treats. Grove Street Plaza.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Acabella Holiday Concert: 5 p.m. Acabella, an a cappella group comprised of 12 women from lower Fairfield County, will perform seasonal and popular songs. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.
