A Little Something White Open House : Noon to 4 p.m. A Little Something White, a new bridal boutique in town, celebrates its grand opening with an open house. 1292 Post Road.

Impressionist Salon Workshop : 7 to 10 p.m. The Darien Arts Center hosts a night of food, conversation and painting in the style of the 18th-century French salons. Painting lessons for all skill levels will be held by DAC teacher Vicki Smith. $60. Darien Arts Center, 2 Renshaw Road.

Friday, Oct. 5

“Bernie” Screenings : 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. The library hosts two screenings of the film “Bernie.” This movie stars Jack Black as a beloved member of a Texas community who befriends and murders an elderly widow. Rated PG-13. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.
