What's Happening In Darien This Weekend

Friday, Aug. 31

Darien Summer Nights: 6 p.m. Singer/songwriter and Middlesex Middle School teacher John Torres will perform in the final installment of this weekly free concert series. Grove Street Plaza.

"A Separation" Screening: 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. The Darien Library hosts two screenings of "A Separation." This film won the Academy Award for best foreign film, and tells the story of an Iranian couple who must decide whether to move to another country. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.

Saturday, Sept. 1

Blue Wave Hockey Car Wash: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The boys hockey team will be holding its annual car wash fundraiser. Darien Ice Rink, 55 Old Kings Highway N.

Sunday, Sept. 2

Sunday Runday: 4 p.m. Take part in either a 3-mile or 1.5-mile run, with discount food and drinks afterward at Darien Social. First 50 registrants get a free T-shirt. Darien Social, 10 Center St.
