Classes will be Mondays through Thursdays the following weeks:

  • June 22 through June 25,
  • June 29 through July 2 and
  • Aug. 3 through Aug. 6.

Classes will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and children can be registered for any number of days each week. The “Use, Reuse, Recycle” workshop classes will feature a project made with recycled materials each day, and will additionally allow for free-style painting time.

Rowana Shepard, who has a Dutch College degree in art and has been teaching art for more than 15 years, will run the classes. Her experience includes teaching ceramics, sculpting, painting and recycled art at an after school program in New York City, culminating annually in the NYCHA Residents art show, in which works from many of her students have been chosen.

Fee per class is $50 for YW members, $55 for non-members. Children should bring their own nut-free snacks. Spaces are limited; register online here.
