YWCA Darien/Norwalk Hosting 'Travel With Taste' Fundraiser

DARIEN, Conn. – The YWCA Darien/Norwalk is hosting its “Travel with Taste” benefit on Saturday, Feb. 28, featuring a tasting of the area’s best signature restaurants,

The event which begins at 7 p.m. at Dolce Hotels and Resorts, 32 Weed Ave., Norwalk, will also have live music by Tangled Vine and a selection of auction and raffle items.

All proceeds will support the YWCA community outreach programs including Job Search Support and Parent Awareness.

Auction items include resort stays in Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia and Panama; summer camp at Camp Cody in New Hampshire; tickets to various entertainment and sporting events; spa and fitness gift certificates and portrait photography.

Besides Dolce Hotels and Resorts, other participating restaurants include Abello’s, Center Street Public House, Dunville’s Restaurant, The Ginger Man, Maplewood Senior Living and Washington Prime.

The YWCA strives to help women achieve and retain sustainable employment with programs such as Job Search Support that sharpen work readiness knowledge and skills for re-entering the workforce or shifting careers. The YWCA Parent Awareness program provides education to parents and children to encourage healthy, positive development of youth and families.
