YWCA Darien/Norwalk Hosts Travel With Taste Fundraiser

DARIEN, Conn. – More than 14 local restaurants are coming together for the YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s Travel With Taste fundraiser at Norwalk’s Dolce Hotels and Resorts on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit YWCA programs such as Job Search Support and Parent Awareness, which educates parents and children on promoting the positive development of families.  

The event will feature food from various local restaurants as well as dancing, live music by Tangled Vine and an auction.

“We are thrilled to have our benefit in this beautiful venue that has it all, from the ambiance and warmth of a cozy fireplace to a dance floor for kicking up our heels to the great music by Tangled Vine,” said Sophia DeLeon, YW board member and event co-chair.

The hotel is offering $79 rooms for attendees.

Auction items include resort stays at Antigua, Barbados and Panama; summer camp at Camp Cody in New Hampshire; and tickets to various entertainment and sporting events.

Participating restaurants include Abello’s, Basso Café, Bloom Brothers and Center Street Public House.

Dress for Travel with Taste is casual.
