The ‘Use, Reuse, Recycle’ workshop aims to use recycled materials to help children from ages 5 to 11 create their own fairy or wizard project, castle or fairy house, or a arts and craft robot.

The workshop will be headed by Rowana Shepard, an arts teacher with more than 15 years of experience. She has previously taught ceramics, sculpting, painting and recycled art in New York City, helping locals participate in the annual NYCHA Residents art show.

The workshop is set for April 13, 14 and 15, with classes set to run from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Children can register for any days they choose.

Each spot will be $50 for YWCA members and $55 for non-members, and children should bring nut-free snacks.
