A book signing, in cooperation with Barrett Bookstore, will take place June 2 at 6 p.m. at Lanphier Day Spa Boutique, 20 West Ave., Darien.

There will also be a reading and book signing on June 4 from 2-4 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in the Stamford Town Center, 100 Greyrock Place, Suite H009.

Harnisch grew up in Mystic, Conn., and Falls Church, Va, and has a degree in economics from Villanova University. She lives in Darien, with her husband and three children.

"The California Wife" was released by She Writes Press on May 10. The novel serves as both a stand-alone and a sequel to Harnisch’s award-winning debut, "The Vintner's Daughter."

In "The California Wife," Harnisch takes readers back to 1897 when Sara Thibault has returned to France following the devastating end to her relationship with Philippe Lemieux, the vintner with whom she fell in love with in California.

Reunited and soon to be wed, Sara and Philippe struggle to manage two vineyards, his much-esteemed Eagle’s Run in Napa Valley and her humble family vineyard, Saint Martin, in the Loire Valley.

Harnisch spoke in Norwalk among other stops on her book tour.
