Darien Community Fund Hands Out Awards To Valued Volunteers

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Community Fund of Darien honored outstanding volunteers and community projects at a luncheon Friday at the Darien Community Association.

Babs White received the Obie Harrington-Howes Community Spirit Award, and several other volunteers and projects were also honored for their service.

For over 60 years, The Community Fund of Darien has helped those in need. Its grants to local nonprofits are targeted toward the most critical needs in Darien, Stamford and Norwalk.
