Greenwich Resident Tracee Ellis Ross Gets 2017 Emmy Nod For 'Black-ish'

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The 2017 Emmy nominations are out and yet again, one time Greenwich resident Tracee Ellis Ross is on the list for "Best Actress in a Comedy Series."

Ellis Ross, who plays Rainbow Johnson in ABC's "Black-ish," is up against Pamela Adlon of "Better Things," Jane Fonda, from "Grace and Frankie,"  Allison Janney of "Mom,"  Ellie Kemper from "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," Julia Louis-Dreyfus of "Veep," and  Lily Tomlin from "Grace and Frankie."

The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which honors the best in prime time television programming, will be held Sept. 17 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with Stephen Colbert as host.
