Reilly, who lives in town with his wife and three sons, is a partner at Seigel, Reilly and Conlon LLC, based in Stamford since 1984, where he practices family, marital and business law.
“I use a client-centric approach to counsel men and women to understand their rights,” he said.
A graduate of Union College and Fordham Law School, Reilly is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Attorneys of Fairfield County and has been recognized by Super Lawyer Magazine as a New England “Super Lawyer” five times since 2006.
Locally, Reilly completed his 11th year on the Board of Education in November before deciding it was time to step aside from town government.
Throughout his years of public service, Reilly has also been on the Board of Selectmen, the Police Headquarters Renovation Committee and the Charter Revision Committee.
“I had many great experiences serving the town,” he said.
Now, Reilly is focusing his attention on the community's philanthropic causes through the Darien Kiwanis Club, which he joined in the late 1980s.
The club raises funds to provide about $25,000 annually in scholarships to high school students.
The club holds a golf tournament, a children’s arts festival and raffles throughout the year and sponsors two little league teams.
It meets weekly but is changing its structure and needs members and volunteers to fulfill its mission, Reilly said.
He said he also rings a bell for the Salvation Army and is a member of the Norwalk Community College Foundation, where he helped to raise money for its expansion.
Over the years, he has gotten to know many people in town and enjoys giving back now that he has more time, Reilly said.
“It is a great way to contribute to the town and still be involved, and I enjoy that.” he said.
