A mother of four, Seth is fighting Myelodysplastic Syndromes, also known as MDS, and is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

She is the mother of New Canaan Country School students: Dylan, Ryan and Tucker and alumnus Henry. For a school project this year, Dylan focused on raising awareness about MDS.

MDS is a slow-moving disease in which bone marrow is unable to produce enough healthy blood cells, often causing cardiovascular pain, overwhelming fatigue and shortness of breath, according to the MDS Foundation. Although not always life-threatening, MDS can drastically reduce the patient's quality of life, the Foundation says.

The disorder was in the spotlight after Robin Roberts, host of "Good Morning America," was diagnosed with MDS and underwent treatment.

Seth and her family hope that Sunday's bone marrow drive can provide some relief for those suffering from MDS.

A quick mouth swab allows technicians to check marrow types in hopes of finding a match for those looking for a transplant. Donors must be between 18 and 55. The process takes 10 minutes.
